Goals
January 1, 2008
Posted in: finished projects, knitting, running
It’s 2008. What are your goals for this year? More importantly, how do you plan on implementing those goals? Here are some of mine.
- Goal: Knit socks from my sock stash, and not buy any more sock yarn until all the sock yarn is gone. How I’m going to do it: I’ve joined the SAM 5 KAL and the Socks from Stash Club. Contests and accountability will give me the motivation I need.
- Goal: Run 1st half marathon. How I’m going to do it: Stay on track with training. Focus more on endurance and distance – not time.
- Goal: Continue to eat clean and workout five to six times per week. How I’m going to do it: Plan all meals out beforehand. Keep food journal and update it religously. Continue going to boot camp. New motto: If I don’t take care of my body NOW, no one else will.
- Goal: Make daily reflection a habit. How I’m going to do it: Take a few minutes each day to clear my head, and write in my journal. Thank you to Tea Leaves for linking to this great article on zenhabits.
I finished both the monkey socks and the zig zag lace scarf. The scarf is for me.

5Caught up with you on teabird’s blog and really appreciated reading your new years goals and the zenhabits article. A one-sentence journal! just what I’ve been looking for to avoid my usual habit of overwhelming myself.
Good luck with your goals and happy new year!
